Chief Operating Officer
Major (Rtd.) Ajith Nihal Sooriyaarachchi is a veteran security professional with over 25 years of distinguished service in the Sri Lanka Army and significant experience in private security management. As our Chief Operating Officer, he leads company operations, strategic planning, and client solutions.
During his military career, he served in roles including Field Military Officer, Sub-Unit Commander, and Instructor at the Special Forces Training School, specializing in leadership, training, and complex security operations. He has been decorated with the RWP and RSP gallantry medals for exceptional service.
In the private sector, he has held positions such as Armory Manager at Avant Garde Maritime Services and Regional Security Manager at Gajashakthi, Operations Manager at Manko Security Pvt Ltd,overseeing security operations, risk management, and staff development. He is skilled in developing security protocols, managing large teams, and coordinating security for events and high-risk environments.
Major Sooriyaarachchi brings discipline, strategic vision, and hands-on expertise, ensuring our clients receive reliable and professional security services.
Chief Executive Officer
Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Mahinda Ranasinghe brings over 35 years of distinguished military service and strategic leadership to his role as founding partner and Chief Executive Officer of Riyo World Pvt Ltd. A decorated officer of the Sri Lanka Army, he has served in diverse operational and command positions, particularly within the elite Special Forces, earning prestigious awards for gallantry including the Weera Wickrama Vibhushanaya (WWV), Rana Wickrama Padakkama (RWP), and Rana Sura Padakkama (RSP).
As CEO of Riyo World, Maj. Gen. Ranasinghe leverages his extensive expertise in strategic management, security operations, risk assessment, and crisis response to drive the company’s vision of delivering advanced, integrated security solutions. His leadership style emphasizes precision, discipline, and a proactive approach to safeguarding clients in an evolving threat environment.
A pioneering member of the Sri Lanka Special Forces Regiment, during his military career, he held key appointments including General Officer Commanding several infantry divisions, Commandant of the Special Forces Training School, and served as the Head of Presidential Security for President of Sri Lanka. He is highly skilled in human resource management, project management, and disaster mitigation, and is recognized for his exceptional ability to operate effectively under pressure.
Maj. Gen. Ranasinghe’s broad exposure to international training programs in countries such as India, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom has shaped his global perspective on security management. He is committed to innovation and operational excellence, ensuring Riyo World remains at the forefront of the security industry.

Eranda M. Chandradasa is the Founding Director of Riyo World Pvt Ltd, bringing 18 years of high-level security expertise across Asia and the Middle East. He has managed complex security operations in Singapore, Dubai, and Sri Lanka, including serving as Director of Security for Shangri-La Hotels in Sri Lanka.
A former Special Forces officer in the Sri Lanka Navy SBS and a seasoned government advisor, Eranda holds a Master’s in Defense Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School (USA), a Master’s in Applied Intelligence from Georgetown University (USA) and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Statecraft and National Security.
His international experience and strategic vision drive Riyo World’s commitment to delivering innovative, tailored security solutions for clients.
